Final Paper Reflection

Reflection:

            My actual basis and foundation for this essay started during my last paper.  I really liked the idea of relating old ideas and theories about social change to our new and current society.  I thought about the differences of today compared to our writers’ times and the different factors that played into our current society.  I made my summary pretty broad so I could insert new ideas and opinions during writing because I thought that would be the most conducive.  I really enjoyed writing the body of my paragraph, but as usual I struggled with my closing and intro.  I was pretty confident in my thesis, but leading up to it I had some difficulty.  The meeting with Professor Darling helped me sure up my closing and intro I feel.  I think this paper was a good thing for me to write because it helped me really analyze the society and people around me and access what others along with myself need to work on.  I think the changes I discussed our essential for our country to move in the right direction.  It’s very interesting how society has changed around us and the different affects things like the media and economy have.  I enjoyed writing this paper and wrote in mostly in one sitting.  I then edited and finished up the paper on two different occasions.  The meeting and editing processes were helpful in pointing me in the right direction for the rest of the paper.  I think this paper will help me in other areas of academia as well as in life because I think I really grew in my understanding of social issues and the social climate in our country.
